House M began with an already completed house, where the interior design task was not to reorganize the entire architecture, but to create precisely designed custom built-in furniture that could respond to the existing layout and technical constraints. The concept was therefore rooted in working with what was already given, developing solutions that improve functionality, soften architectural rigidity, and bring a more refined and coherent character to the spaces.

The overall interior is defined by a restrained minimalist approach, where clean surfaces and precise detailing play the leading role. At the same time, an important goal was to ensure that this minimalism would not feel cold or sterile, so subtle material shifts, more tactile surfaces, and a few playful details were introduced throughout the project. These gestures do not break the unity of the design; rather, they bring warmth and a more human scale to the otherwise clean and composed atmosphere.

The kitchen is one of the most important spaces in the project, as it was here that the compromises of the original layout had to be most clearly resolved. Through custom built-in cabinetry and carefully organized functions, the space became not only fully workable, but also calm and elegant in character. Smooth, high-quality surfaces form the main compositional framework, while the finer shifts in materials and texture prevent the room from feeling too severe.

The same design attitude appears even more intensely in the bathroom. One of the key challenges here was that the plumbing points and sanitary fixtures had already been fixed, while almost no real storage had been planned into the room. The response was a vanity and storage system that condenses as many functions as possible into one continuous built-in composition, even absorbing an originally awkward service wall into a larger, unified architectural element. As a result, the bathroom became not only more practical, but also far more orderly, elegant, and calm in its overall appearance.

The essence of House M lies precisely in the fact that the project creates quality not through dramatic formal gestures, but through disciplined detailing and sensitive refinement. The custom furniture does not simply fill the existing rooms, but reorganizes, clarifies, and strengthens them. The result is an interior that remains minimalist yet warm, clean yet livable, and functional while still unmistakably elegant.
