The interior design concept of TwentySeven Boutique is built around a distinctive yet calm guest experience, where functionality and atmosphere are equally important. The aim was not only for the spaces to work well, but also to create a recognizable and memorable identity: that is why the rooms and public areas follow a unified design language, while each type of space still has its own subtly different mood. The concept combines a fresh, contemporary formal language with refined references to classical details, creating the building’s old-new character and timeless appeal.

Materials and color use
The hotel’s defining character comes from a bold yet balanced approach to materials and color: layered combinations of deep burgundy tones, warm wood surfaces, stainless-steel details, and off-white elements create a warm, welcoming interior world. The goal was not to emphasize expensive materials, but to achieve a special yet natural effect through the thoughtful use of simple, well-chosen elements. The restrained base makes it possible for more colorful accessories and iconic furniture pieces to stand out without making the space feel overcrowded.

Spatial organization and furniture
In the rooms, the custom furniture pieces work with a modular logic, allowing them to adapt flexibly to different floor plans and room sizes. Complex storage units, personalized headboard solutions, and varying surface treatments ensure that guests experience order, comfort, and a sense of personality at the same time. The custom pattern or wallpaper carried onto the ceiling further strengthens the rooms’ character without breaking the overall harmony. In the public areas, carefully used but visually different elements — such as stainless-steel surfaces and a distinctive carpet — give each zone its own identity while still keeping it part of the hotel’s overall image.

Bathrooms and mood variations
Each bathroom has its own character, with the goal of creating both difference and coherence at once: each space makes an impression through a surprising, playful texture or color, while still remaining closely connected to the rooms. The variety of finishes and textures brings playfulness into the spaces, yet the compositions stay orderly and elegant, so the guest experience never feels excessive or fragmented.

Public areas and arrival
The reception works as a compact yet memorable point of arrival, immediately conveying a warm and intimate atmosphere. The lounge supports both relaxation and shared use through comfortable seating, hidden technical solutions, and a consistent material palette, while also offering a strong visual experience. The corridors and transitional spaces — from carpeted wall panels to illuminated boxes — gently guide guests through the building, functioning at once as practical orientation tools and aesthetic elements.

Building and practical constraints
The project was based on the floor plan of a previously plain hostel, which initially relied on large shared bathrooms; while this helped with the permitting process, it also created a serious challenge, because the client wanted as many rooms as possible to have their own bathrooms while keeping the communal areas spacious and refined. The building’s structure — with zones defined by the main walls — provided a clear framework, but many details had to be reworked through interior-design solutions to ensure both a strict room count and genuinely enjoyable spatial quality. As a result, the rooms were precisely calculated to meet regulations, while the interior decisions — materials, tones, and compact but strongly expressive furniture pieces — create the sense of elegance and openness felt upon entering.

Cost-effective solutions with character
Because the available budget was limited, special emphasis was placed on accessible, easy-to-execute solutions: choices that were not expensive on their own, but that could create a strong and distinctive visual effect when combined. That is how simpler yet carefully selected finishes, bronze mirrors used to expand the sense of space, and stainless-steel surfaces that introduce a contemporary, slightly raw atmosphere came into the design. The interplay of contrasts and pairings is what gives the project its uniqueness — not costly solutions, but careful composition.

TwentySeven Boutique is therefore an interior where function, character, and smart, cost-conscious material use are deliberately layered on top of one another. The result is a guest-friendly, warm, yet distinctive environment in which the harmony of classical and modern elements ensures that the stay is comfortable, memorable, and special — while the solutions remain feasible and economical.
